Epic Foreword

by CAPSLOCK

A few months ago, John Joseph Adams (bestselling editor of multiple SFF anthologies) asked Brent to write the foreword to Epic. This epic fantasy anthology includes 17 stories from authors as diverse as George R. R. Martin, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Patrick Rothfuss. With a roster like that, Brent couldn’t say no.

You can read Brent’s foreword HERE and check out the rest of the anthology HERE. And you can check out more free excerpts HERE.

Lol, love the quote at the end. short passage but showing your talent none the less Mr Weeks

Why is Brent’s name not on that picture? He’s far better than Sanderson, Rothfuss, Hobb and Martin. Probably not Le Guin in some ways (her writing generally has much more, um, depth, but I’d prefer to read a Brent Weeks book for entertainment. Besides, she’s a legend of sci-fi, not fantasy. Her fantasy’s not that great). Maybe Orson Scott Card, have only read a tiny bit by him. Haven’t read the other 2 there.

Just realised Brent’s probably not on there because he didn’t write any of the stories in it (I’m assuming that if he had, he would have mentioned it here). Oops.

    Definitely, definitively, epic.

Are these going to be new stories by the authors? Or stories that have been in other anthologies, just put into a new anthology together?
