Ulyssandra

You know you’ve made it as a writer… when parents borrow a name you made up to give to their kid!

That’s exactly what this adorable little girl’s parents did — meet Aurora Ulyssandra (ok, ok, so it’s just the middle name that’s from The Night Angel Trilogy, but still!):

Now, those are what I call real fans. ;)

  1. Wow. That’s just awesome. If that isn’t motivation, I don’t know what is!

  2. She is a little cutie isn’t she my little princess! And if her daddy had her way it would have been her first name, And just to boost you again Brent, he has decided if we have a boy he will be naming it after another of your characters!

  3. Haha so adorable!

  4. Hehehehehe…. Uly…. Ugly….. hehehe.
    NO! I’m joking.
    She’s beautiful. Wonderful eyes.

    Love the idea. ;)

  5. Awww that is just cute c:

  6. We named our two kittens Kylar and Viridiana. I already had my kids named by the time I read the trilogy or my son Nicholai may have been Kylar.

  7. Hahahaha that is quite the honour Mr. Weeks! Congratulations, but lets face it wel all already new that you rock and are an epic writer :D

  8. How adorable!!! Too bad I’m not having anymore kids, I think I’d steal Durzo ;)

  9. I always thought if I had a daughter I’d name her Sioned from Melanie Rawn’s sunrunner books. Then I really liked Kylar for a name for a boy.

But the world is safe, the rumors of me and progeny are fictitious in nature.

    (collective sigh of relief)

  10. Alas I too am done with having children or Kylar would definitely be my top choice, though my wife would probably limit it to a middle name. She did that with our youngest whose middle name is Corwin (Zelazny’s Amber series) despite my best efforts at making it his first name.

  11. She’s absolutely beautiful.

Way to be a fan of your own works! :-P

  12. Speaking of real fans…

This real fan would LOVE to see the Night Angel Trilogy
    turned into movies. :D

That would just make the world complete!

  13. Im always reading interesting names i would like for my kids (despite the fact im only 17). Kylar was one i seriously consisdered writing down. Then i realised it was to close to my name. i raged a bit. Just a bit.

  14. I remember reading Terry Brooks Shannara series along time ago and I loved the name of the one swordfighter Garret Jax. Then my sister named her son Garret which totally blew my idea of naming any of my offspring Garret. Og well my kids still got cool names but not from science fiction fantasy novels. I just finished the first 3 books of the Shadow series and loved it.

  15. If Peter Jackson can do as well as he did with lord of the rings think what he could do with the night angel trilogy
